Bytown Dodgers peewee team to play at Ontario Baseball Association A level provincials

Ottawa, ON. – In its inaugural season, the Bytown Dodgers Peewee team will represent Ottawa at the Ontario Baseball Association Provincial Rep A Level Championships in Quinte, Ontario.  They kick off the tournament on Friday, August 31, 2018 against the Lasalle Titans from Windsor. Depending on how the Dodgers fare on Friday, the team, which consists of players born in 2005 and 2006, will play one or more games on Sunday in the double elimination tournament.

“Our players have trained and worked really hard since January to be able to compete at the Provincials,” said Jason Coker, Head Coach of the Dodgers Peewee team. “Seeing the improvement in the players’ development makes us really excited for the weekend.”

The Bytown Dodgers Baseball Club is a non-profit program that develops youth between the ages of 9 and 18.  Its baseball program is designed to foster the development of high caliber baseball skills while providing an outlet for competitive activity and encouraging the development of student athletes into valuable members of the community.
